GS 2022: Evening Session Thursday May 12
May 12, 2022 Guelph (Emmanuel) 2022
This evening the fraternal delegate of the Reformed Churches in New Zealand (RCNZ) and the fraternal observers of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC) will be addressing GS 2022. Following these addresses there will be other matters Synod will deal with (what that is is yet to be determined).
This session is to begin at 7pm and is to end at roughly 9pm (Eastern Time). You can view this session either via the Public Playlist of GS 2022 or the website of the Guelph-Emmanuel CanRC.
GS 2022: Professorial Appointment

With thankfulness to the Lord, Synod makes it known that Dr. Reuben Bredenhof has accepted his appointment as Professor of Ministry and Mission Studies. Arrangements are being made for a "CRTS evening" this Monday, May 16, at which both the newly appointed Dr. Bredenhof and the retiring Dr. Arjan de Visser will address Synod. This event will be live streamed. A link will be shared in the course of Monday.
GS 2022: Evening Session Wednesday May 11

This evening fraternal delegates and observers of the Kosin Presbyterian Church in Korea (KPCK), the Free Reformed Churches of North America (FRCNA), the Free Reformed Churches of Australia (FRCA), and the Free Reformed Churches in South Africa (FRCSA) will be addressing GS 2022. There may be other matters for this evening session as well.

GS 2022: Professorial Appointment

With gratitude to the Lord, GS 2022 announces that on May 10 Dr. Reuben Bredenhof, currently serving as minister at the Free Reformed Church of Mt. Nasura, Australia, was appointed professor of Ministry and Mission Studies at the CRTS, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Dr. Arjan de Visser at the end of the 2022/2023 academic year.

Synod has decided that only sessions in which fraternal delegates and others are addressing the assembly and the churches will be live streamed. A notice will go out via canrc.org when such a live stream is happening. The intention is for these to be held in the evening (Eastern Time).

GS 2022: Day 1

General Synod 2022 has begun. Elected to the executive were: Rev. J. Ludwig as chairman, Rev. E. Kampen as vice chairman, Rev. K. Janssen as first clerk, Rev. S.C. VanDam as second clerk. During the evening session addresses were heard from the Reformed Churches of Quebec (ERQ), United Reformed Churches  in North America (URCNA), and the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) as well as letters of greeting from the Reformed Church in the United States (RCUS), the Reformed Churches in Indonesia (GGRI), the Reformed Churches The Netherlands (GKN) and The Reformed Churches [The Netherlands] (DGK).

General Synod 2022 Prayer Service

In preparation for General Synod 2022 the consistory of the Emmanuel Canadian Reformed Church at Guelph has invited Rev. Douwe Agema to lead a prayer service on Monday, May 9, 2022 at 7:30pm. We invite the federation to join us in person or via live stream as we come together to seek the Lord’s blessing over the upcoming synod.
