Very early on Monday morning, September 23, after a short stay in hospital, Rev. W.W.J. VanOene was taken from this life by the LORD to be with Christ. The following arrangements have been made for his funeral, It will be held, DV, on Friday, September 27. An opportunity to express condolences to his wife and children (and, if so desired, for viewing) is given from 11:00am to 12:50pm in the fellowship hall of the Abbotsford Canadian Reformed Church building (corner of McKenzie and King Rd). Refreshments and lunch will be available. The funeral gathering will begin at 1:00pm (= 4:00pm in Ontario; 10:00pm in The Netherlands) in the auditorium of the church building. It will be broadcast via a live feed at www.abbotsfordchurch.com. The interment is to take place at 2:30pm at the Hazelwood Cemetery (Hazelwood Avenue off Hwy 11) in Abbotsford. Please note that on account of the live feed and the fixed time at the cemetery, the opportunity for condolences will have to end at 12:50pm.
