On behalf of the convening church of Lynden, Rev. B. Wielenga called the meeting to order. He welcomed the guests and delegates and led in opening devotions.
The credentials of the delegates were found to be in good order and classis was constituted. Rev. P. Grotenhuis was appointed as the chairman, Rev. T. Veenstra as vice-chairman and Rev. M. Vermeulen as clerk.
The agenda was adopted.
The form of subscription was read and Rev. M. Vermeulen, who was recently ordained as missionary of the Vernon Canadian Reformed Church, affirmed his agreement and signed the form.
A letter was received from the Committee on Ecumenical Relations (CER) requesting that classis inform the CER of contacts maintained by classis, or by churches within the classis. The CER will be informed.
A proposal was received from the Church at Aldergrove regarding the Regulations of Classis Pacific East (revised December 2025). The proposal was adopted.
A proposal was received from the Church at Aldergrove requesting concurring advice in order to grant Rev. Johnathan Kruis of the RPCNA permission to preach on their pulpit. The proposal was adopted.
A report was received from the Treasurer. The churches were assessed at $1.00/communicant member. The treasurer was thanked for his work, and he was reappointed for the coming year.
Reports were received from the church visitors for visitations made to the churches of Chilliwack, Vernon, and Yarrow.
In accordance with Article 44 of the Church Order, all the churches reported that the ministry of the officebearers is proceeding, that they are honoring the decisions of the major assemblies, and that advice was not required.
Nooksack was appointed as the convening church for the next classis. The date for the next classis is September 10, 2026, with December 3, 2026 as the alternate date. Suggested officers for the next classis: chairman from Sardis, vice-chairman from Vernon, and clerk from Yarrow.
Preaching engagements for vacant churches were not required.
Rev. R. Schouten was appointed as coordinator for ecclesiastical examinations.

The church for the archives, and the church for the inspection of the archives, the treasurer, and the church for auditing the books of the treasurer were reappointed.
With thankfulness it was noted that no report was needed from the Committee for Needy Churches.
Rev. R. Schouten was reappointed as Deputy for Preaching Arrangements.
Deputies for contact with sister-churches within the jurisdiction of CPE were re-appointed: Nooksack Valley for the RCUS and Abbotsford for the URCNA.
Personal question period was made use of. The chairman notes with thankfulness that nothing censurable was said or done during the meeting, which was held in a brotherly manner. The Acts of Classis were presented and adopted. The press release was presented and approved. After prayer and singing, the meeting was closed.
