As of January 1, 2026, D.V., Ebenezer Canadian Reformed Church (Burlington) and Rehoboth Canadian Reformed Church (Burlington/Waterdown) will be one merged church, which will go by the name of Rehoboth-Ebenezer until such time as a new name is chosen. In accordance with the ecclesiastical process presented by the councils of Ebenezer and Rehoboth churches to Classis Central Ontario, October 24, 2025, and their concurring advice, Ebenezer and Rehoboth churches, ecclesiastically speaking, will not so much cease to exist as they will continue existing together as a merged church. The members of both churches will be members of the merged Rehoboth-Ebenezer church, and all ecclesiastical commitments (eg. support of mission PNG, MERF, CRTS, etc) will remain in place, and all deacons, elders and ministers will be carried over, with their ordinations, to the merged church. May our Lord Jesus Christ preserve and increase his church, to the glory of his name and the furtherance of his kingdom.
