On behalf of the convening church of Attercliffe, Rev. R. Vermeulen opened the meeting with scripture reading and prayer. Hy. 52:1,4,5 was sung. The following were elected as executive: Rev. R. Vermeulen as chairman, Rev. M. Jagt as vice-chairman, and Rev. T. Vandergaag as clerk. The agenda was adopted.

Appreciation was expressed to the church of Attercliffe for convening and hosting this Synod.

Synod dealt with a proposal from the church of Ancaster to update the regulations of Regional Synod East. This proposal sought to ensure adequate time is given to be able to deal with material submitted to RSE. After discussion and some minor changes, it was adopted. Synod also dealt with appeals from the churches of Grand Rapids, Kerwood and London. These appeals were not sustained.

RSE received a report from the treasurer and the auditing church. RSE agreed to assess the churches at $8 per communicant member for the year 2026.

RSE received reports from deputies who attended examinations as well as the deposition of a minister. Appointments were made pertaining to the finances and the keeping of the archives of Regional Synod. Synod appointed Deputies as specified in Article 48 of the Church Order. The church of Burlington-Waterdown (Rehoboth) was appointed to convene the next Regional Synod East, scheduled for November 18, 2026 @ 9am.

The chairman deemed censure was not needed.

At the end of the meeting, the chairman read from Scripture and led in prayer. After the assembly sang from a Psalm, the chairman closed Synod.
