On behalf of the convening church, Smithville, Rev Swaving opened the meeting in a Christian manner. In prayer he remembered the seminary, the decline of the extension of call to Rev. Sinke by Dunnville West, the vacancies in the classis, the installation of Rev John Louwerse in Grassie, the upcoming retirement of Rev. Wynia, and the work of Rev. Bouwman, and of Rev. Dethan.

Upon the constitution of Classis, Rev Dick Wynia was appointed as chairman, Rev Daniel Shin as vice-chairman, and Rev Rodney Vermuelen as clerk, and the agenda was adopted.

Rev. Louwerse, recently installed in Grassie, signed the form of subscription.

The chairman asked each of the churches the Article 44 questions. All churches affirmed that the ministry of the office-bearers is being continued and that the decision of the major assemblies were being honoured. One church asked for advice on the matter of church discipline. In closed session, advice was given.

The church of Dunnville East submitted a proposal to form a committee for student of theology to encourage men to enter the ministry. The proposal was not adopted.

Upon request by Vinyard CanRC of Lincoln, classis appointed Rev. Wynia as counselor for Vinyard CanRC of Lincoln.

In closed session church visit reports to the churches of Attercliffe, Dunnville East, Dunnville West, Grassie, Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara South, Smithville and Tintern were received with thankfulness.

Classis appointed Spring Creek church of Tintern to convene the next classis, to be held on 12 June 2024, with 11 September 2024 as alternate date, and suggested officers for that classis.

After question period, the acts were adopted, the press release approved, and Rev D. Wynia led closing devotions and closed classis.
