Canadian Reformed Missions Association Conference

August 7, 2018

The Canadian Reformed Missions Association is hosting a conference at 9 AM on Sept 8 at CRTS. A presenter from the Canadian Council of Christian Charities will speak on CRA compliance. The CRMA invites all churches to send a delegate from its Deaconry and Administration / Treasurer team to participate in this important seminar. Many of our deaconates are collecting and then sending proceeds overseas. Presentation Overview: The Christian church does many good works outside of our borders. This CCCC seminar will provide an overview of the self-regulation expected by the government, in the form of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and some practical tips and tests to see how your ministry is doing both legally and Biblically (Romans 13:1-5). This will include: • Review of CRA Charity Guidance CG-002 Canadian registered charities carrying out activities outside Canada • CCCC's interpretation tool to aid with complying with CG-002• A check for "sign it & shelve it syndrome" • Your questions from the floor
