Funeral Arrangements for Reverend Dr. Jack DeJong Peacefully at Shalom Manor, Grimsby on Saturday, April 15, 2017, following a lengthy illness, the Lord called to himself Jack DeJong in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Smeding) for 36 years. Loved father of Joanna and Ryan VanHof, David and Crystal, Tim and Biz, Esther and Greg VanMiddelkoop, Nathan and Amber, Carina and Jon Kamstra, and Brendan. Dear Grandpa of Heidi, Taliah, Miriam, Elena, Edie, Gabriel, Callie, and Jack. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Clasina and Henry Klos, Siebe and Grace DeJong, Sita and John Vanderpol, Walter and Annette Smeding, Diane and Ed Vanderboom, Alice and Wally Bisschop, JoAnne and Herman (†) Faber, Ralph and Linda Smeding, Art and Sandra Smeding, and Rick and Michelle Smeding. Dr. Jack DeJong served the church as pastor of congregations in London and Burlington from 1978-1990 and as professor at the Canadian Reformed Theological Seminary in Hamilton from 1990-2003.
